Five St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders have returned from a goodwill trip to Afghanistan. It was the group’s second overseas trip in six months. They visited troops in Iraq and Kuwait last February.

Kate, one of the cheerleaders who made the trip, appeared on FOX 2 News in the Morning where she talked about the trip, what the women did, and just how safe they felt in a war zone.

Kate proves to us that cheerleaders should just cheer, not talk.  This video is atrocious.

I’m still awaiting tonight’s game between Indy and Miami to round out week 2 in the NFL but I don’t really need to look much past the Washington Redskins cheerleaders to know that it was a successful weekend.

These women were in mid season form as they cheered, danced, and pretty much tortured every single male in the audience.

If you’re lucky enough to befriend Melissa Rycroft on Facebook she’ll let you into her wonderful world of dance and cheerleading.  OK maybe not.  Maybe her Facebook page is for professional purposes and not a personal page with drunken pictures (sigh).

Still though, she’s incredibly hot and watching her on Dancing with the Stars warranted her getting a spot on here.  Of course I mixed in a little Cowboys stuff too.

Earlier this season the Eagles took on the Raiders in a game that wasn’t particularly memorable.  But at least a bunch of hall of famers showed up and greeted the crowd at half time.  But you know who the real hall of famers were at this game?

You guessed it.  The Eagles Cheerleaders.  If any cheering squad deserved to be in that NFL hall of fame, it’d be the ladies that don the green and white.  ALl of them dance like the wind and over 50% may have had plastic surgery to enhance their um… pom poms.

For those of you that missed them this year, the Washington Redskins Cheereleaders had their tryouts a couple of weeks ago.  Given that this is one of the hottest cheering squads in the NFL, I’m sure that the screening process was a pain in the ass.

However, it must have been fun if you were a male judge sitting in that auditorium.  What a wonderful afternoon that must be.  Your own personal cheering show.

Sometimes it’s nice to look back in history.  And honestly there’s nothing too special about a Cardinals win over the 49ers back in 2006.  It was a normal win.  Cardinals took the game 34-27 and from what I recall it was a nice day out.

But if there is something to remember and something to rehash, it’s the cheerleaders for the Cardinals.  They were definitely something to imprint in the mind.  And they will always continue to do so.

One of the best things about cheerleaders for the NFL or NBA or most any professional sports team is that most of these girls are in college.  That means that A.  They’re young and B.  They still like to party and have fun.

Add to that, most of these girls are from Texas?  Well then I think we have a winning combination don’t you?  Whether it’s goofing off at practice, chilling on the beach, or simply having a fun night out, the Cowboys Cheerleaders make it all count.
