Well, it’s pretty clear that the Florida Marlins have thrown in the towel for at least 2-3 more years. And yet somehow I feel like the team will be in World Series contention before we know it. Shelling out $21 million for a payroll is one sure way to tell the fans, “relax, we blow, you don’t even have to come if you don’t want to.” But management did make one smart move. The Marlins Mermaids. Well done fellas. Well done.
